Cha Ong Waterfall

Cha Ong is the tallest waterfall in Ratanakiri, and it’s an absolute must-see! During the rainy season, it surges majestically, up to 25 meters high, before cascading down from its rocky cliffs into a serene pool below.

The best part? You can even climb behind the canopy of falling water in the cave behind the falls, where you can observe the green forest through a curtain of fine mist and falling water!

There are concrete steps, so you can easily access the bottom of the waterfall from the top of the hill. Cha Ong is the most visited waterfall around Ban Lung, and it’s not hard to see why!

Ka Chanh Waterfall

From the entrance near the river, you’ll find a descent down wooden steps that lead to the waterfall. You can go even further to the river beneath the waterfall, where you can indulge in a refreshing swim.

Another route takes you to a wooden suspension bridge, which spans the entire river gorge. From the middle of the bridge, you’ll be treated to an breathtaking view of the waterfall, making it the perfect spot to take in the beauty of nature.

Ka Chanh’s lush greenery and refreshing mist make it an ideal spot for relaxation and photography.

Ka Tieng Waterfall

Ka Tieng is an absolute gem, sitting along the same river as the Kah Chanh waterfall, just further downstream. This waterfall is about 10 meters in height and is located in a truly beautiful and serene forest setting.

But what really sets it apart is the opportunity to crawl over the carved-out rocks and get up close to the waterfall. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking, but the best part is the chance to experience it in such an intimate way.

The sight of long vines and creepers dangling into the cave behind the waterfall from the cliffs above is simply breathtaking.

Ou'Sean Lair Waterfall

Ou’Sean Lair is a waterfall with several tiers and a 7-step cascade, nestled in the heart of the tropical jungle. Each tier offers a different scenic perspective, making it a great destination for hiking enthusiasts and nature photographers.

The multiple tiers create a mesmerizing panorama. During the dry season, you can take a refreshing swim here. In the rainy season, you can admire the view from above as the fast current, eddies, and undertow make swimming dangerous.

There are also some other waterfalls nearby, including one cascade downstream and two more upstream.
